Clive (Hanz) Hancock

Hanz is a self-taught artist, living and working in London. His work is influenced by his former occupation as an experimental / punk musician and performer. Much of the work that he produces contains elements of structure and mutation previously demonstrated in his musical career.

His current working practice is partly influenced by his friend and colleague, Patrick Morrissey, who introduced Hancock to constructive/reductive art several years ago. His work has a kinetic quality, engendered by its three-dimensional appearance and planning, which also reflects his previous fascination with experimental music and notation.
